Birth Control é uma banda de rock alemã conhecida por seu som de hard rock progressivo.
Formada em 1966 na Berlim Ocidental a partir de duas outras bandas, os Earls e os Gents. A banda foi fundada com uma formação composta por Bernd Koschmidder (baixo), Reinhold Sobotta (órgão), Rolf Gurra (saxofone, vocal), Fritz Gröger (vocal), Reiner Borchert (guitarra), Hugo Egon Balder (bateria) e Klaus Orso (guitarra). Cinco anos após a formação da banda, todos os sete membros originais já haviam saído, mas a banda continuou sob a liderança dos antigos membros, o baterista (e posteriormente vocalista principal) Bernd Noske (que substituiu Balder no final de 1968) e o guitarrista Bruno Frenzel (que substituiu Borchert em 1969).
Após a morte de Frenzel em 1983, o grupo se separou, mas se reuniu em 1993, restando apenas Noske da formação anterior. Outros membros da banda reformada incluíam o baixista/vocalista Horst Stachelhaus, o guitarrista Rocco Zodiak e o tecladista Xaver Fischer.
Apesar da morte do principal nome da banda, Stachelhaus, em 1999, a banda continuou sob a liderança de Noske, excursionando pela Alemanha e lançando novos álbuns periodicamente após a virada do século. Nos últimos anos, os ex-integrantes Peter Föller (baixo, vocal) e Zeus B. Held (teclado) retornaram ao grupo como músicos convidados em shows ocasionais. A banda chegou ao fim em 18 de fevereiro de 2014 com a morte de Noske. A formação final da banda consistia em Noske, o baixista Hannes Vesper, o tecladista Sascha Kuhn e o guitarrista Martin Ettrich.
Em 2016, a banda se reagrupou e voltou a se apresentar. A nova formação era composta por vários membros que, em algum momento, fizeram parte da história da banda: Peter Föller (vocal), Martin Ettrich (guitarra, talkbox), Sascha Kühn (teclado), Hannes Vesper (baixo) e Manni von Bohr (bateria).
