King Kobra é uma banda americana de glam metal fundada pelo baterista Carmine Appice após sua passagem pela banda do Ozzy Osbourne de 1983 a 1984.
Em seus dois primeiros álbuns, a banda era formada por Appice e quatro músicos relativamente desconhecidos: o vocalista Mark Free, o guitarrista David Michael-Philips, o guitarrista Mick Sweda e o baixista Johnny Rod. Após dois álbuns pela Capitol Records — Ready to Strike 1985 e Thrill of a Lifetime de 1986 e o lançamento independente King Kobra III em 1988, Appice decidiu dissolver a banda e se juntar ao guitarrista John Sykes para seu projeto Blue Murder em 1989.
Um novo King Kobra surgiu em 2010 com Carmine Appice na bateria, Paul Shortino nos vocais, Mick Sweda na guitarra, David Henzerling (também conhecido como David Michael-Philips) na guitarra e Johnny Rod no baixo. Essa formação lançou o álbum homônimo King Kobra em 2011 pela Frontiers Records e outro álbum em 2013, intitulado King Kobra II.
A banda entrou em hiato após o lançamento do álbum de 2013, em grande parte devido a outros compromissos individuais dos membros da banda. Eles fizeram shows ao vivo novamente em 2016 sem Mick Sweda.
Em 18 de julho de 2023, a banda anunciou que seu novo álbum, We Are Warriors, que foi lançado em 11 de agosto. A faixa-título também foi lançada como single. A formação conta com os novos guitarristas Carlos Cavazo e Rowan Robertson, ex- Quiet Riot e Dio.
