Warren William Zevon (24 de janeiro de 1947 - 7 de setembro de 2003) foi um cantor e compositor de rock norte americano (EUA). Suas composições mais famosas incluem " Werewolves of London ", " Lawyers, Guns and Money " e " Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner ". Todas as três canções estão presentes em seu terceiro álbum, Excitable Boy de 1978, cuja faixa título também é bastante conhecida. Ele também escreveu grandes sucessos que foram gravados por outros artistas, incluindo " Poor Poor Pitiful Me ", " Mohammed's Radio ", " Carmelita " e " Hasten Down the Wind ". Segundo o The New York Times, "o Sr. Zevon tinha uma imaginação de ficção pulp" que produzia "histórias concisas, cheias de ação e com humor negro que podiam esboçar um roteiro inteiro em quatro minutos e muitas vezes tinham a morte como desfecho.
